Qualifications of Terry L. Evans

APPRAISAL CERTIFICATION - State General Certified Real Estate Appraiser, State of Tennessee, holding certificate #CG-74. Current certification is valid until October 4, 2025.

REAL ESTATE EXPERIENCE - Licensed as a Real Estate Salesman (1968 - 1973) and as a Real Estate Broker (1973-2005). Broker's license placed in retirement in 2005. Brokered real estate or participated in the brokerage of real estate in 18 states.

AUCTION EXPERIENCE - Held an Apprentice Auctioneer's License #476 from 1967 to 1973. Held an Auctioneer's License #476 from 1973 to 2002. Held Auctioneer’s License #23 from 2002 to 2007. Auctioneer's license retired in 2007. Participated in the auction of real estate and personal property in approximately 20 states.

REAL ESTATE APPRAISAL EXPERIENCE - Written appraisals on real property in 33 states over the past 30 years. I have 50 years of experience in valuing real estate. A majority of real estate appraisals completed have been on commercial, industrial, agricultural, and development properties. I have also prepared appraisals on all types of property for litigation and environmental purposes.

PERSONAL PROPERTY APPRAISAL EXPERIENCE - I have 50 years of experience valuing fixtures, furniture, equipment, machinery, and inventories. I have valued personal property in 33 states. I have valued personal property used in tanning mills, sewing facilities, food processing facilities, general manufacturing facilities, lumber mills, concentration yards, retail stores, convenience stores, bulk fuel facilities, rock quarries, excavation businesses, steel manufacturing, machine shops, automotive dealerships, trucking companies, aluminum processing, tank construction, knitting mills, feed mills, farming operations, golf courses, concentration yards, warehouse facilities, restaurants, fuel depots and other similar type facilities.

FORMAL EDUCATION - I am a 1966 graduate of Lawrence County High School. Graduated from Nashville Auction School in 1968. Attended Martin College, Pulaski, Tennessee, 1968 to 1970. Bachelor of Science Degree, Trevecca Nazarene College, 1991. Accumulated 725+ hours of appraisal education from various appraisal associations and educational vendors since 1974. I am required to acquire 28 hours of continuing education in appraisal related subject every two years and have completed those hours and renewed my General Certification Certificate now valid to October 4, 2025.

REAL ESTATE TEACHING - I have been an instructor on real estate subjects for Nashville Auction School, Continual Learning Institute, Floyd College (Business Department), Columbia State Community College, Evans Education Center, and the National Association of Independent Fee Appraisers.

PERSONAL PROPERTY INSTRUCTION - I have been an instructor on personal property appraisal subjects for Nashville Auction School, Evans Education Center, and Ritchie Brothers Auctioneers.

POSITIONS PRESENTLY HELD - Senior Appraiser and Consultant for Terry Evans and Associates, 1533 Voss Road, Columbia, TN.

PROFESSIONAL DESIGNATIONS - I have earned a Senior Appraiser Designation (IFAS) from the National Association of Independent Fee Appraisers, Chicago, Illinois. and a Senior Designation (SR/WA) from the International Right-of-Way Association. I have retired my designation with IRWA and am now in inactive status with the International Right of Way Association. I received an ASA designation from the American Society of Appraisers on April 16, 2019 and hold a current designation of IFAS and ASA until December 31, 2025.

PROFESSIONAL ORGANIZATION MEMBERSHIPS - American Society of Real Estate Appraisers (ASA and NAIFA merged). and other similar type facilities.
